Training and experience are done overtime and there is no substitute for either. But WTSHTF you may not have a Dr, Nurse or any other help. There are many YouTube videos that show wound care and closure you should down load some and then buy yourself a simple suturing kit and I find a piece of ...yes uncooked chicken great for suturing practice and then practice. When you feel comfortable then get a better suturing kit for your FAK, remember not all wounds need to be sutured and so other closures need to be purchased like steri-stips and wound glue (like super glue but medical grade, and even get a wound staple gun! Again buy books and read them there is no substitute for a good library and then hands on experience! I have found some helps but there is plenty on the net while we can get it!
